Lover of all things furry.....
Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains UNAWAKENED.
This is precisely what I told my husband many paw prints ago prior to the Lausch house becoming the Animal House..........Growing up with numerous pets as a child, I knew that my adult life would include many paw prints as well. As my husband was unsure about bringing animals into our world, I decided to volunteer at the local SPCA for my daily dose of doggie love and THIS.......is where it all began!!
My very first adoption event led me to Logan, my ultimate soul dog who has been melting my heart ever since. My husband and I now share our home with two rascal kitties (Smudge and Fat Mac) and Logan and Nikki, both the most adorable medium sized rescue mixes in all of Sussex County!
My volunteer time with local shelters and my interest in working with my own Reactive Rover, Nikki, led me to a massive career change in my early 30's. After ten years teaching in elementary school classrooms I decided to work with furry kids full time. The learning theory is truly the same for all living creatures and so it seemed to be a natural progression in my "teaching" career. I am thankful for each day that I am able to wake up and pursue my many passions within animal care.
Things About Me.....
I LOVE anything FURRY!!!! There is nothing better than the unconditional love from a pet.......without it, life is incomplete.
I LOVE the color PURPLE. I find it both soothing, gentle, and yet powerful at the same time.
I LOVE food.... I am on a slow journey towards removing all animal products from my diet and prefer non-processed whole foods however some of my favorite treats include anything with peanut butter, pizza, and french fries!!
I think EXERCISE is the most amazing natural anti-depressant for both humans AND our pets. I keep myself moving and balanced by teaching spin classes, practicing yoga, and enjoying the sunshine on my paddle board!
